“wonder what they are going to ask me?”
Well I finally get to appear on TV, and, get a picture of the interview to prove it, even if it was taken by Heide. Of course there is no guarantee that my words of wisdom will survive the cutting; after all, my interview lasted about five minutes, while Heide’s took at least twenty minutes. But I suppose I should be grateful for small mercies. I know that I did most of the work, but Heide’s name is on the cover after all, and she did take all the photographs, so I must grudgingly admit that most people will probably buy the book because of her input rather than mine.
Oh and I almost forgot to explain what the picture is about. We were interviewed about our new book, “A Portrait of Canberra and Canberrans 1979-2012″ by Adam Shirley for ABC Canberra TV 7.30 Report. Not sure on which night it will appear, but if you see it and I don’t, let us know what you thought of it

Unbeknown to me, ABC aired the interview on Friday nights 7.30 Report, about an hour after I published the above post. We get a different version of the 7.30 report in NSW, so it took a friends comment in Facebook to alert us to the news (you can see the report on Heide’s Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/heide.smith.photographer or on http://www.facebook.com/fotoheide ) – the report was really good (thank you Adam); I didn’t figure, but you know, life wasn’t meant to be easy, so I’ll just keep plodding on, and who knows, one day, maybe, it will happen.
